Job Description

Position Summary:
The Software Manager will be responsible for leading the software development team at UNIPAY, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of scalable and secure financial applications. The role requires a strong technical background, leadership
capabilities, and a clear understanding of the fintech ecosystem in Myanmar.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of developers, QA engineers, and system architects.
• Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Business, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of fintech features (e-wallet, bill pay, QR code payments, etc.).
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance across all platforms.
• Manage technical documentation and enforce best practices (CI/CD, version control, testing).
• Evaluate third-party technologies and APIs for system integration.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage project timelines, risk, and resource allocation.
• Guide team training and mentorship to build internal capacity.
• Maintain compliance with local regulations (e.g., CBM guidelines, cybersecurity standards).

Job Specification
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a managerial or team lead role.
• Experience in fintech, banking, or payment system projects is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Node.js, React.js, Flutter).
• Familiar with microservices, cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of mobile app development lifecycle (Android/iOS).
• Experience with APIs, payment gateways, and QR payment protocols (e.g., MMQR).

Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Fluent in English and Burmese
