Tower Inspector

Job Description (JD)

• Conduct structural inspections of Monopole, Self-Support, and Guyed telecom towers.
• Perform tower climbing and work at heights in compliance with 100% Tie-Off Safety Protocols.
• Inspect tower foundations, bolts, welds, guy wires, anchors, climbing facilities, and structural components.
• Inspect antennas, RRUs, transmission lines, mounting hardware, grounding, bonding, and lightning protection systems.
• Perform Pre-Modification, Post-Modification, Plumb & Tension, and QA/QC inspections according to engineering requirements.
• Review structural drawings, engineering plans, and technical documents before inspections.
• Record accurate measurements, photographs, field data, and as-built tower information.
• Identify and report safety hazards, structural defects, and non-compliance issues promptly.
• Prepare inspection reports, photo logs, and closeout documentation within required deadlines.
• Maintain PPE, climbing equipment, inspection tools, and testing devices in good condition.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering teams, clients, contractors, and site owners.
• Support site logistics, travel arrangements, and inspection process improvements.

Job Specification (JS)

• High School Diploma or relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in the telecommunications tower industry, including at least 2 years of tower climbing experience.
• Current Competent Climber & Rescuer certification.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, engineering plans, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with inspection equipment such as GPS, Laser Distance Meter, Transit Level, Digital Camera, and Torque Wrench.
• Strong knowledge of tower safety, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
• Physically fit and capable of working safely at heights and handling required equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently with a high level of safety awareness, integrity, and professionalism.
